His photographs is the still history of American modernism. His pictures of the UN Headquarters in New York, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, Manhattan skyscrapers and Miami Beach parking lot were printed and reprinted in world-famous albums and photography magazines. He is Ezra Stoller, the most well-known architectural photographer of the 20th century. And this is his first personal exhibition in Russia.
The exhibition united Stoller’s recognizable architectural gems and those of his photographs which are rarely on show. The way Stoller captured the smooth lines of American modernism in its heyday inspired the idea of the exhibition design. We made it geometrical and voluminous, created interesting angles to observe the photographs from, combined different magnitudes — Stoller’s works and their magnified projected doppelgangers. Ezra Stoller had an exceptional sense of time — and it was essential for us to convey it on display.
